Private Courses
All courses given at Pace University also can be given privately by special arrangement. In addition, numerous specialties can be offered, as indicated in the sample list of courses. (Note that the Master Diver rating simply requires five specialties plus the rescue-diver certification.) For most specialties, the prerequisite is Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent; for some, it is Open Water Diver or equivalent.
All courses provide a PADI certification. Standard PADI specialties are described on the PADI web site.

For open-water training, each student must provide full open-water gear as required for PE146 . A logbook is required for certification. Each course may require a corresponding PADI manual.
Open-water training is done locally throughout the year or in the Caribbean during the summer. (See the travel portions of this web site.)
