PE146 / HW141 -- Open-water Diving
This one-credit, summer-session course provides open-water training for certification as a PADI Open-water Diver and as a PADI Advanced Open-water Diver. The course includes nine supervised training dives: four dives on two days for Open-water certification, and five dives on two days for Advanced Open-water certification.
Each student must provide all gear required for the pool training provided in PE145/HW140 plus full open-water gear. Locally, the open-water gear includes additional weight, a full wet suit (1/4") with a hood and gloves, air tanks, a regulator and a buoyancy device. A logbook is required for certification. The Advanced Open-water portion of the course requires the PADI Adventures in Diving manual.
Training for Pace University credit can be done locally or in the Caribbean during the summer. (See the travel portions of this web site.)
