PE145 / HW140 -- Beginners Pool and Classroom Training
This one-credit, spring-semester course provides academic and pool requirements for open-water training. It consists of five classroom and five pool modules. The schedule for class and pool sessions is:

Each student must provide their own mask, snorkel, fins, booties, weights, and weight belt for pool training, and must use the PADI Open Water Diver Manual for academic training.
Open-water training, which is required for certification, can be undertaken in PE146/HW141 or independently. Independent training can be done locally or in the Caribbean during the summer. (See the travel portions of this web site.)
